BACKGROUND and OVERVIEW

Sivananda Yoga Centre, Gurgaon was founded over twenty years ago in 2004. We are one of the oldest, consistent and largest yoga programme in Delhi NCR. We are registered with yoga alliance, USA, the international certifying body for quality standards in yoga (www.yogaalliance.org). The centre holds a RYS 200 and an RYS 300 accreditation.

Our main purpose is to spread the teaching and practice of an authentic and ancient system of yoga, thereby promoting health, well being, a stress-free lifestyle and more balanced and visionary individual.

The centre offers regular open asanas and pranayama classes, meditation, advanced classes, workshops and seminars, and yoga classes for children and teenagers. We also conduct yoga retreats and 200 Hours and 300 Hours Yoga Teacher Training Courses.

The yoga we teach stems from an illustrious lineage spanning over 70 years around the world, and thousands of years before that in India. It is a programme suited to modern conditions. It is efficient in its use of time, it is understandable to and enjoyable for a modern audience, and the practices are repetitive, easy to follow and highly beneficial.
